34-Year-Old Dover Man Shot Sunday Morning

In the early hours of Sunday morning, the Dover Police Department initiated an investigation into a shooting incident that resulted in a 34-year-old Dover resident sustaining injuries.

According to Master Corporal Ryan Schmid, the Dover Police Department’s Public Information Officer, officers responded to reports of gunfire in the vicinity of South Bradford Street and West Loockerman Street just after 1:30 am. During their investigation, they discovered that the victim, a 34-year-old Dover man had been transported to Bayhealth Kent Campus in a privately owned vehicle. The victim had sustained a gunshot wound to the lower body said Schmid.

Officers canvassed the area in search of potential witnesses or suspects but were met with negative results. As of the latest update, there are no leads available in the ongoing investigation according to Schmid.
