Just In: Rider Airlifter After Sunday Morning Crash

At 10:01 Sunday morning, an incident was reported involving a crashed vehicle and what is described as a motorized bicycle in Dagsboro.

The crash occurred in the area of Townsend Road and Vines Creek Road. Several emergency response teams were dispatched to the scene to provide assistance and manage the situation. Responders included members of the Dagsboro and Frankford Fire Companies, medical personnel, and Sussex County Paramedics.

Upon arrival at the scene, the first responders identified a critical patient who required immediate medical attention. The patient was transferred to Delaware State Police Aviation Trooper 2 and is currently en route to the Trauma Center in New Castle County. They are expected to land in the next five minutes.

Expect road closures and extended delays in the area.
