Police Update Middletown Drive-By Shooting

In Middletown, an ongoing investigation by the New Castle County Division of Police is currently underway following a shooting incident in the 900 block of Lissicasey Loop, situated in the Hyetts Crossing neighborhood.

Officials said on Wednesday, September 13th, at approximately 11:40 a.m., officers received an initial dispatch to respond to a report of an assault involving a weapon at a residence within Hyetts Crossing. Upon their arrival at the scene, law enforcement officers discovered a 39-year-old male victim who had suffered a gunshot wound to his upper torso. Immediate action was taken to provide medical assistance, and the victim was later transported to Christiana Medical Center for treatment by Delaware State Police Aviation.

In response to the incident, detectives have been called to the scene to conduct an investigation into the incident. As the investigation unfolds, further details will be made available to the public police said.
