Firefighters Battle House Fire Tuesday Morning

Firefighters from Northern New Castle County and Delaware County, Pennsylvania, were dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 100 block of Shrewsbury Drive in Wilmington. Upon arrival, the first team of firefighters observed that the fire had originated on the back deck of the house and had subsequently extended into the home.

Firefighters immediately conducted both primary and secondary searches for victims. These searches yielded negative results, confirming that no one was trapped or injured inside the home.

The fire was successfully contained and declared under control at 7:17 a.m., approximately 20 minutes after the initial dispatch call.

Fire marshals have also been dispatched to the scene to conduct an investigation into the cause of the fire.

As of the latest update, there have been no reported injuries related to this incident.
