I-95 Shut Down Near State Line Due To Shooting

Early Saturday morning, at around 1:45, a shooting occurred in the area of I-95 Northbound in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, near mile marker 1.6, just north of Market Street.

According to initial reports from the scene, it appears that a shooting incident took place, with as many as 10 shots fired at a vehicle. At least one person was found shot and unresponsive when law enforcement officers arrived at the scene. The incident prompted the closure of I-95 at Market Street to facilitate the investigation.

As of now, I-95 remains closed in the vicinity of Market Street. There is no information available at this time regarding the condition of the victim or victims who were shot.

New Castle County Fire Police are assisting with the closure.
