Scooter Rider Seriously Injured After Striking Deer In Rehoboth Beach

On Sunday, at approximately 6:47, a 67-year-old male was struck by a deer while riding his scooter in the vicinity of the Tanger Outlets.

The incident took place on Holland Glade Road in Rehoboth Beach, near the Epworth United Methodist Church, between the cross streets of Sandalwood Drive and Tanger Blvd.

Following the collision, emergency medical services responded to the scene. Due to the nature of his injuries, the individual was airlifted to Christiana Hospital for by Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 2 in critical condition.
