Happening Now: Rescue Efforts Underway At Harrington Crash Scene

Emergency services were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the area 2595 Hammondtown Road in Harrington on Monday morning, shortly after 6:15 AM.

On arrival, first responders found two vehicles involved in a collision, one of which has impacted a tree and was smoking. Command reported heavy entrapment. Crews are working to extricate at least one patient at this time

Crews from Harrington and Farmington fire departments, Kent County Paramedics, and Delaware State Police have responded to the crash.

Command has alerted Trooper 2 that they will be utilized for transport.

At 6:58 am Command reported that the patient had been extricated – Just after 7:30 am Trooper 2 alerted Christiana Hospital to the patients injuries and estimated time of arrival. At 7:39 the helicopter was about 10 minutes out.
