Seaford School Put On Lockdown After Playground Incident

Earlier today, the Seaford Police Department issued a statement regarding an active investigation into a weapons-related incident that occurred at 2:40 pm near the Cross Christian Academy. The report provided by the police indicated that an unidentified individual, who was not present on school grounds, allegedly brandished what appeared to be a firearm at a student who was on the playground at the time of the incident.

The situation escalated when a student was reportedly struck by a stone, which is believed to have been thrown either by the primary suspect or an associate. Following this, the academy took immediate precautionary measures by ushering all playground occupants into the building, subsequently initiating a lockdown.

In response to the incident, the Seaford Police Department, in collaboration with the Delaware State Police Troop 5 and their Aviation unit, launched a thorough search operation in the vicinity for the individuals described in the alert.
