Four Young People Injured In Middletown Crash Sunday

Authorities are investigating a crash that left four young people injured.

Officials said on Sunday, at approximately 5:15 PM, a vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Levels Road and Dogtown Road in Middletown. Emergency crews, including New Castle County Paramedics, Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown, and Delaware State Police Aviation, responded to the scene.

Arriving units found a single vehicle with 4 occupants, the vehicle had left the roadway and collided with a utility Pole. The accident resulted in varying degrees of injuries for the four individuals involved:

A 17-year-old female suffered potential internal injuries. She received immediate medical attention from the New Castle County Paramedics and was airlifted in critical condition by Delaware State Police Aviation to a medical facility for further treatment.

An 18-year-old male was transported to the hospital by a basic life support ambulance from Cecilton Fire Company. He was treated for an arm injury sustained during the collision.

A 20-year-old Female was transported on board a Basic Life Support ambulance from Volunteer Hose Company with non-life-threatening injuries.

Another 18-year-old male, similarly affected by non-life-threatening injuries, received medical assistance and transportation by a Basic Life Support ambulance from the Volunteer Hose Company.

All the patients were taken to Christiana Hospital.
