Man, 23, Dead, Two Children Wounded In Separate Shootings Monday

Wilmington Police are currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on North Scott Street at approximately 3:11 p.m. Monday.

Upon their arrival, police officers discovered a 23-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital in a critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Shortly after the incident on North Scott Street, rescue crews were dispatched to a residence on West 40th Street following reports of another shooting. Wilmington Police officers arriving at the scene found two children, a 14-year-old male gunshot victim, and an 11-year-old female gunshot victim, inside the home. These victims were immediately taken to a nearby children’s hospital and are listed in stable condition.
