Maryland Man Charged In November Fatal Shooting Inside Wilmington Home

Wilmington Police Department recently reported the arrest of a suspect in relation to a fatal shooting incident that occurred in November.

The incident took place on November 28, around 9:06 p.m., in the 200 block of West 20th Street, inside a residence. Upon arrival at the scene, police officers found 39-year-old Quinton Turner, who had been shot and subsequently succumbed to his injuries.

Detective Joseph Wicks of the Criminal Investigations Division was assigned to the case. His investigation led to the identification of 47-year-old Andra Manuel as the primary suspect. Detective Wicks obtained warrants for Manuel’s arrest following the identification according to police.

On January 8, Manuel was apprehended without any complications in Owings Mills, Maryland. He was then extradited back to Delaware on January 11.

Andra Manuel faces several charges, including First Degree Murder, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, Two counts of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, First Degree Home Invasion Burglary, and Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon

Following his arraignment in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas, Manuel was detained at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution. The court has set a cash-only bail at $3,370,000. The case continues to develop as further details may emerge.
