Wilmington Police Officer Reportedly Injured In Head-On Collision Saturday

Wilmington Police are investigating a crash involving one of their own Saturday morning,

According to initial reports, Wilmington Police officers were responding to calls of shots fired in the 400 block of Madison Street just after 1:30 AM.

As officers responded to the call an officer was involved in a crash with another vehicle. This incident occurred at the intersection of 4th and Market Street.

Sources tell First State Update that the officer, along with other individuals involved in the crash, were transported to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries, and the current condition of those involved, remains undisclosed.
