Just before 7:00 Friday morning, firefighters along with rescue crews and police responded to reports of a house fire with possible entrapment in the unit block of Barberry Place in Wilmington.
Crews arriving on scene reported smoke showing at the home that sits along the state line with Pennsylvania in northern Delaware.
Shortly after their arrival crews reported finding a victim on the second floor and pulled the patient out of the home.
The patient has been transported to Christiana Hospital in critical condition.
A second patient at the scene was also transported to the trauma center with serious injuries.
At least two patients were transported to the hospital as a result of the fire.
