Delaware State Police are investigating a motorcycle crash near Sussex Correctional Institution last night.
The accident on Dupont Boulevard in Georgetown a t around 11:20 Sunday evening, brought a response from multiple emergency services. The Georgetown Fire Company, American Legion Ambulance crews, Sussex County Paramedics, and Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 2 were dispatched the scene.
Additionally, Fire Police and Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) crews were deployed to manage traffic control.
The motorcycle rider was airlifted via Trooper 2 to Christiana Hospital in New Castle County. As of the latest updates, details about the accident and the condition of the rider involved remain undisclosed.
