A serious crash at the intersection of US 301 northbound and Warwick Road in Middletown has led to the closure of the Middletown Warwick Road overpass.
The incident took place at approximately 2:15 PM today and involved a motorcycle colliding with the back of another vehicle according to initial reports from the scene.
Emergency crews from Middletown, New Castle County Paramedics, and Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4, were dispatched to the scene. The rider of the motorcycle has been transported to a trauma center by ground in critical condition.
It’s not clear if the roadway has been reopened.
