Police: Dover Man Charged With Arson, Released On OR

The Dover Police Department has arrested 32-year-old Robert Ulrich of Dover on charges of second-degree arson.

Officials said the arrest came after the Dover Fire Department and Dover Police officers responded to a house fire in the 900 block of Schoolhouse Lane at approximately 10:15 on Saturday evening.

After the fire was extinguished, a subsequent investigation was conducted by the City of Dover Fire Marshall’s Office in conjunction with Dover Police detectives. The investigation showed that the fire had been deliberately set according to police. Further inquiry identified Ulrich, who resided at the home, as the individual responsible for setting the fire, a spokesman said Monday.

Following the investigation, Ulrich was taken to the Dover Police Department where he underwent processing and arraignment. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance facing charges of arson in the second degree.
