Accident In Odessa Sends Man To Hospital Tuesday

On May 14, 2024, at around 4:55 p.m., emergency response units were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision involving entrapment in the 400 block of North Sixth Street, Odessa. The New Castle County Paramedics, Odessa Fire Company, Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown, and Delaware State Police Aviation with Trooper 4 were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, responders found a four-door sedan off the road and into a wooded area. The Odessa Fire Department quickly extricated the vehicle’s sole occupant, a 34-year-old male, within three minutes of arriving. He was subsequently transported to Christiana Hospital by New Castle County Paramedics via an ambulance from the Odessa Fire Company. At the time of transport, the patient was in stable condition, suffering from possible head and internal injuries.

The Delaware State Police is conducting an investigation into the incident.
