Motorcycle Accident Sends Rider To Hospital By Air Saturday

On Saturday at approximately 12:13 PM, emergency crews were dispatched to a traffic collision involving a motorcycle at 1560 Vandyke Greenspring Road in Smyrna, Kent County.

The incident prompted responses from several units including Kent County Paramedics, Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4, and local fire companies from Hartly, Clayton, and Townsend.

The motorcycle rider was reportedly seriously injured in the accident and was subsequently airlifted to Christiana Hospital by Trooper 4 for medical treatment.

Further details about the cause of the collision or the current condition of the rider have not been released at this time.

Delaware State Police is investigating the crash.
