Police: Armed Robbery Leads To Arrest, Man Released On OR

The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver in Seaford on Friday night.

Officials said on May 10, 2024, at approximately 10:39 p.m., troopers responded to a report of an armed robbery that occurred on the 24000 block of German Road in Seaford. During the preliminary investigation, detectives learned that three unknown male suspects approached the victim while he was making a delivery at a house. One of the suspects pointed a gun at the victim, took the pizza, and stole his Toyota Camry police said Sunday. The victim was not hurt.

On May 11, 2024, at approximately 1:30 a.m., troopers saw the stolen Camry and pulled it over. When they pulled it over, the occupants ran, but the driver, identified as 18-year-old Asjmeir Fiorentino of Seaford, was caught a short time later. Troopers searched for the other occupants but did not find them.

Fiorentino was taken to Troop 5, charged with Receiving Stolen Property over $1,500 (Felony), Resisting Arrest, Driving Without a License, and Failure to Signal. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and released on his own recognizance.
