Officials Update Fire That Killed Two Dogs On Sunday

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating a house fire that yesterday morning in Wilmington.

At approximately 9:00 Sunday morning May 12, The Mill Creek Fire Company was alerted to a house fire in the unit block of Winding Mill Drive in the Mendenhall Village neighborhood. Upon arrival the Fire Department found smoke and fire coming from the residence. Multiple Agencies were called to assist.

State Fire Marshal Deputies were called to the scene to determine the fire origin and cause of the fire. This incident remains an active investigation.

No persons were reported injured in the fire although to dogs succumbed to injuries from the fire. Damage is estimated at 250,000 dollars.
