Route 1 Motorcycle Crash Sends One To Hospital By Air

Delaware State Police are investigating a crash that sent a motorcycle rider to the hospital on Friday.

At approximately 8:15 p.m. last evening, a motorcycle rider was involved in a traffic accident on Route 1 Southbound at Drawyer Creek Bridge in Middletown. Upon arrival, crews found the rider alert and talking; however, the extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.

The rider was treated at the scene before being airlifted to the Christiana Care Trauma Center in Stanton.

Emergency response units included the Odessa Fire Company, New Castle County Paramedics, and Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4.
