Woodland Ferry to Close Due to Winter Storm

Sussex County, Delaware – The Delaware Department of Transportation has announced that the Woodland Ferry will be closed starting Monday, January 6, 2025, and will remain closed until further notice due to the winter storm.

The Woodland Ferry, once known as Cannon’s Ferry, is a cable ferry situated in western Sussex County, Delaware. It crosses the Nanticoke River at Woodland, Delaware, to the west of Seaford. Operated year-round by the Delaware Department of Transportation.
