A male pedestrian was struck by a train in New Castle on Thursday evening, leading to a response from emergency crews. The incident occurred shortly after 5:50 p.m. near the intersection of Pulaski Highway and Wilton Boulevard.
Rescue crews from the Christiana and Goodwill Fire Companies, along with New Castle County Paramedics, arrived at the scene following reports of pedestrian being struck by a train. Initial assessments indicated that the individual was struck at a low speed. He was subsequently transported to Christiana Hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
