Magnolia Man Arrested on Felony Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop

Delaware State Police have arrested 27-year-old Troy McNally of Magnolia, Delaware, on multiple felony drug charges following a traffic stop that occurred during the early morning hours of April 3, 2025.

Officials said at approximately 1:45 a.m., a trooper on patrol in the area of Walnut Shade Road and Peachtree Run observed a Nissan Rogue fail to stop at a posted stop sign. The trooper initiated a traffic stop, pulling the vehicle over on Terry Drive in Magnolia.

As the stop was being conducted, McNally, who was operating the Nissan, was seen discarding items from the vehicle according to police. Troopers subsequently recovered the discarded items and identified them as approximately 2.25 grams of heroin, approximately 6.9 grams of crack cocaine, and 10 pills identified as a combination of acetaminophen and oxycodone hydrochloride.

McNally was taken into custody without incident and transported to Troop 3 for processing. He was formally charged with the following offenses:

Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Tier 2 (Felony)
Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Felony)
Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tier 1 (Felony)
Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tier 2 (Felony)
Tampering with Physical Evidence (Felony)
Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign

McNally was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of a $35,000 cash bond.
