Motorcyclist Airlifted Following Middletown Crash

Emergency crews responded to a traffic collision involving a motorcycle Thursday morning at the intersection of Middletown Odessa Road and Gloucester Boulevard in Middletown.

Just after 6:50 responders arrived to find a motorcyclist with serious injuries resulting from the crash. Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4 was requested and subsequently airlifted the rider to Christiana Hospital for medical treatment.

Authorities have not released additional details regarding the accident or the current condition of the rider. The roadway remained partially restricted while emergency operations were underway.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
