Pedestrian Stuck In Newark Early Monday

Emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of South College Avenue and East Delaware Avenue at approximately 8:16 a.m. for reports of a pedestrian struck.

According to initial reports, the individual, described by witnesses as a male riding a Razor-style scooter, was struck while attempting to cross the roadway. Newark Police and EMS units responded to the scene. The collision resulted in the temporary closure of the intersection, lasting approximately 10 minutes.

The patient was transported to Christiana Hospital for evaluation and treatment. The extent of the injuries has not been disclosed at this time.
