The Delaware State Police have arrested two individuals in connection to a violent early morning robbery that occurred on April 14, 2025, at the Merchants Square shopping center in Edgemoor. The investigation remains active as authorities continue to search for two remaining suspects.

At approximately 1:33 a.m., troopers were dispatched to the shopping center located at 4405 Governor Printz Boulevard for reports of a robbery and attempted carjacking. According to investigators, multiple victims were seated in their vehicles in the parking lot when three male suspects approached and demanded money and personal belongings. The suspects had arrived in a black Chevrolet Equinox driven by an unidentified black male. During the incident, the driver appeared to record the robbery as the other suspects attempted to forcibly enter the victims’ vehicles.

One of the vehicles was breached, leading to a physical struggle with the occupants. The suspects ultimately fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and stolen property. The driver of the Equinox was seen entering the front passenger seat of a blue SUV, which fled northbound from the scene. One victim sustained minor injuries during the altercation. The Equinox was later located and towed to Delaware State Police Troop 2.

Through investigative efforts, detectives identified 44-year-old Milton Geralds of Claymont as the driver of the Chevrolet Equinox. On April 16, Geralds was arrested at his residence without incident and charged with Robbery First Degree, three counts of Robbery Second Degree, and Conspiracy Second Degree. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on an $84,000 cash bond.

As the investigation progressed, a second suspect was identified as a 15-year-old male from Elkton, Maryland. Detectives secured an arrest warrant and, on May 9, 2025, the Wilmington Police Department located and apprehended the juvenile without incident. He was taken to Troop 2 and charged with Robbery First Degree, two counts of Robbery Second Degree, Attempted Robbery Second Degree, and Conspiracy Second Degree. The juvenile was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the New Castle County Detention Center on a $38,500 secured bond.

Detectives from Troop 2 continue to investigate and are seeking assistance from the public in identifying the remaining two suspects, described as young black males. Surveillance footage from the incident is not yet available. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Delaware State Police.
