Police: Dover Man Uncooperative After Being Shot

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured a 20-year-old man Friday evening.

The incident was reported at approximately 6:45 p.m., when officers responded to a call for gunfire in the area of Simon Circle and West North Street. Upon arrival, officers located the victim in the 300 block of Simon Circle suffering from gunshot wounds to both his upper and lower body.

Police provided medical aid at the scene before the victim was transported to Bayhealth Kent Campus for treatment. Investigators said multiple residences were also struck by gunfire during the incident.

According to police, the victim declined to cooperate when questioned about the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.
