Crash Sends Three to Hospital After Car Strikes Building

Emergency crews responded Monday afternoon after a motor vehicle collision led to one car striking a building along the 3000 block of New Castle Avenue.

According to Assistant PIO Jamielee Majewski, the crash occurred at approximately 4:52 p.m. on September 8, 2025. New Castle County Paramedics and Holloway Terrace Fire Company were dispatched to the scene, where they found two vehicles involved in a collision, one of which subsequently struck a structure.

Three people were injured and transported to Christiana Hospital in Stanton. A 38-year-old male sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by Minquadale Fire Company. A 10-year-old female was also taken by Minquadale Fire Company with non-life-threatening injuries. A 35-year-old male suffered possible internal injuries and was flown by Delaware State Police helicopter in serious condition.

The Delaware State Police are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
