Pedestrian Struck And Killed Monday Night

A pedestrian was struck and killed Monday evening in New Castle County.

At approximately 7:43 p.m. on September 8, 2025, emergency crews were dispatched to the area of Llangollen Boulevard and South Dupont Highway for reports of a pedestrian accident. Responding units located a male victim who had suffered critical injuries. Despite efforts from first responders, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The roadway was closed in the immediate area as police conducted their investigation. Further details regarding the circumstances of the collision have not been made available.

The incident remains under investigation.
