Man Shot By Intruder While Sleeping Thursday

Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred this morning in Lincoln.

Officials said on September 18, 2025, at approximately 6:21 a.m., troopers responded to a residence on the 29000 block of Fleatown Road in Lincoln for a report of a shooting.

The preliminary investigation revealed that an unknown suspect entered the residence through an unsecured door and shot a 66-year-old man in the chest while he was sleeping. The victim was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
