Hockessin, DE — A motorcyclist was killed Saturday afternoon in a crash on Brackenville Road near Old Wilmington Road.
Emergency crews were called shortly after 3:00 p.m. for reports that a motorcycle had crashed. Responders found the male rider unresponsive and leader pronounced him dead at the scene.
Brackenville Road was closed between Lancaster Pike and Old Wilmington Road for several hours while police investigated and crews clear the crash The roadway reopened around 6:40 p.m.
The New Castle County Division of Police is continuing to investigate. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
