Happening Now: Serious Crash Closes Hartly Road Wednesday Morning

Emergency crews have responded to a serious two-vehicle crash with reported entrapment at the intersection of Hartly Road and Judith Road in Hartly after 9:00, Tuesday morning. First arriving units confirmed that one occupant was trapped inside a vehicle following a T-bone style collision. Command has ordered the closure of the roadway.

Multiple agencies were dispatched to the scene, including the Hartly, Camden-Wyoming, and Marydel fire companies, along with Kent County Paramedics and a DNREC enforcement officer is on scene. Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4 was also launched to assist with the incident and is en route. Due to the severity of the crash, Hartly Road is expected to remain closed for an extended period of time.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while emergency operations remained ongoing.
