Rescue crews and Delaware State Police responded to a reported fatal pedestrian strike on Saturday morning along Linden Hill Road in Wilmington.
Emergency units were dispatched to the area of 4551 Linden Hill Road just after 12:30 a.m. for reports of a person struck by a vehicle. Troopers on scene reported that the incident resulted in a death. Later information indicated the victim was a male in his 40s. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, no additional details regarding the circumstances of the crash, the vehicle involved, or whether a driver remained on scene have been released. The incident remains under investigation and authorities have not yet identified the victim.
