A fatal single-vehicle crash is under investigation by the Delaware State Police following an incident early Sunday morning in Lewes.
Authorities said the crash occurred on April 26, 2026, at approximately 12:20 a.m., when a Dodge Ram was traveling southbound on Wil King Road, just south of Kendale Road. For reasons that remain under investigation, the vehicle left the roadway, entered a ditch, overturned onto its roof, and then struck a tree.
The driver, identified as 26-year-old Anthony Hunt, of Lewes, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
