Man Found Shot Late Tuesday Night

At approximately 9:57 p.m., officers with the Wilmington Police Department responded to the area of East 23rd and Carter Streets following reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they located a 43-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where police said he was listed in stable condition.

Detectives have assumed the investigation, which remains ongoing. No additional information about the circumstances surrounding the shooting or any potential suspect has been released.
