Police: Man Robs Store With Shotgun

Laural – The Laurel Police Department is investigating the armed robbery of the Shore Shop that occurred early on Sunday.

The incident occurred on Sunday, August 14, 2016, at around 3:00 a.m., as a male suspect entered the Shore Shop, located at 405 N. Central Ave, Laurel, according to police.  Police said that the suspect entered the store and brandished what appeared to be a shotgun.

Authorities said the suspect ordered the clerk to give him all the money, which the clerk did exactly what was ordered of him. The suspect went behind the counter and removed a total of $29.72 before leaving the store in an unknown direction, police said.

The suspect was described as a black male, 25-30 years of age. He was approximately 6’00” tall, average build, and was last seen wearing a dark blue nylon hoody with a thick black stripe running down the sleeves and across the shoulders, bright blue scarf, black nylon running pants and a pair of white in color tennis sneakers.
