Harrington – On September 18, 2017 the Harrington Police Department arrested Theodore Hall 39, of Three Rivers Dr. in Newark after he failed to stop for officers and led them on a short pursuit, according to authorities.
Officials said while on patrol at 10:46 pm, and officer on patrol attempted to stop a vehicle, being operated by Hall for a traffic violation on South DuPont Hwy. in the area of Gordon Street. The officer conducting the stop, stopped the vehicle on South DuPont Highway, North of Harrington.
After initially stopping the vehicle, the vehicle then took off from the officer and the officer pursued the vehicle with lights and sirens activated and the vehicle failed to stop, according to officials. Police chased the vehicle northbound on South DuPont Highway and failed to stop, said police.
Police were able to get the vehicle stopped on South DuPont Hwy. south of Route 12 in Felton. The driver, identified at Theodore Hall was then taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Harrington Police Department for processing.
He was charged with Disregarding a Police Officer Signal, Driving with a suspended or revoked license, Speeding, Drive in proper lane and direction, no person shall drive while using electronic communication device, no registration in possession and no proof of insurance. He was arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 7 and was released on $1,106.00 unsecured bond.
