Philadelphia Man Sought For Burglary, Stalking, Unlawful Imprisonment

Magnolia – Delaware State Police are requesting assistance in locating Gerald Spruell (30), of Philadelphia, PA who is wanted in connection with a domestic incident which took place at a residence in the 300 block of S. Marshview Terrace, Magnolia, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Michael Austin.

Austin said the incident began at approximately 8:50 a.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017 when Troopers responded to the S. Marshview Terrace address for an alarm activation. Upon arrival contact was made with a 47-year-old female who advised that an ex-boyfriend of hers, identified as Gerald Spruell, had made forcible entry into her home and then held her against her will in her bedroom as she attempted to escape.

Troopers made brief contact with Spruell as they arrived, however he fled in a vehicle after being ordered to remain at the scene, said Austin. A subsequent search of the area for Spruell was unsuccessful.

Spruell is described as a black male, 5’6″, 190 lbs., with black hair, brown eyes and was last seen operating a black Nissan Altima with tinted windows and license plate cover bearing an unknown Pennsylvania registration.

Spruell currently has warrants on file for: Burglary 2nd Degree, Stalking, Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd Degree, Offensive Touching, Criminal Mischief and Resisting Arrest, according to Austin.
