Glasgow Dry Cleaners Robbed At Gunpoint

Glasgow  – Delaware State Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Newark area dry cleaning business that occurred yesterday afternoon, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Michael Austin.

Austin said the incident occurred at approximately 4:40 p.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at the VIP Cleaners, located at 2430 Pulaski Highway, Newark. A Hispanic male subject entered the business and approached a 50 year old female employee at the sales counter, pointed a handgun at her, while handing her a bag, said Austin. The employee was not injured as a result of the incident.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male with a thin build, wearing a black jacket, black pants, black knit hat, black fabric covering the lower portion of his face and in possession of a black handgun.
