Woman Killed In Double Homicide On Kiamensi Road Was 7 Months Pregnant

Stanton – New Castle County Police are actively investigating an apparent Homicide that occurred on Kiamensi Rd in the area of the Glen Burnie Estates.

New Castle County Police have identified the victims as 30-year-old Isabel Cooper and 34-year –old Thessalonias Berry.

Earlier this morning (May 24), New Castle County Police were dispatched to a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of the intersection of Kiamensi Rd @ Rothwell Dr. When the units arrived, they discovered two injured subjects inside of the vehicle. Both of the subjects had apparent gunshot wounds and were later pronounced deceased by New Castle County Paramedics.

Detectives from the New Castle County Police Homicide Squad arrived on scene and assumed the investigation. This is currently an ongoing and active investigation. No suspect information is available at this time.

Cooper was seven months pregnant the the couple’s baby according to officials.

A reward of up to $10,000.00 is available to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of those responsible for violent crimes being investigated by this agency.

In response to questions from residents on our Facebook page New Castle County Councilman David Tackett said the following:

At 0150 hours, officers responded to a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Kiamensi Business Park. Upon arrival officers found the two subjects deceased. Indications are that it appears to be a Homicide. Criminal Investigations Unit is assuming the investigation. ??
