Police: Two Face Multiple Charges In Dover

The Dover Police Department arrested Khalil Hanzer (25) and Tiffiny Melton (25) on drug charges on Friday afternoon, according to  M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said at approximately 5:06 PM, officers observed both subjects in the Unit Block of South New Street. Hanzer had an active capias out of two courts and a warrant from Dover Police on unrelated charges at the time. Prior to contacting the subjects, officers observed them going to and from a vehicle and moving items inside of it. Once contacted, officers located 30 ecstasy pills, 175.3 grams of marijuana, and a large folding knife (larger then 3″ blade), said Hoffman.

Both subjects were arrested without incident.

Hanzer was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $16,500 secured bond on the following charges:
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana
-Possession with Intent to Deliver MDMA
-Possession of MDMA (Tier 2 qty)
-Possession of Marijuana
-Tampering with Physical Evidence
-Carry Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree
-Drug Paraphernalia

Tiffiny Melton was released on $8,500 unsecured bond on the following charges:
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana
-Possession of Marijuana
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree
-Drug Paraphernalia
