Just before 11:00 last evening, Monday, October 21, 2019, firefighters from the Christiana Fire Company, along crews from surrounding agencies were dispatched to the 1100 block of Musket Road for a residential structure fire.
While en route crews learned that callers were reporting that fire was shooting through the roof of the home.
Upon their arrival, crews confirmed fire through the roof and reported that subjects were possibly trapped in the home. Crews quickly entered the home and determined that no one was inside and continued their attack on the fire.
Moments after the first units arrived, Command struck a second alarm which brought additional crews from neighboring fire companies.
After about thirty minutes into the incident, Command reported that the bulk of the fire had been knocked down, both in the original home and an adjacent home that was damaged by the fire.
Crews operated at the scene for approximately two hours working to mop up hotspots in the home.
Fire Marshals also responded to the scene to determine the nature of the fire.
