Just In: Woman Jumps From Third Story Window During House Fire

Just after 12:30, this afternoon firefighters with the Wilmington Fire Department along with rescue crews from St Francis and NCC Medics respond to the 500 Block of E 35th Street for reports of a house fire.

Upon their arrival, crews reported fire showing from the home and began their attack on the fire. As the fire raged smoke filled the northeast Wilmington sky.

At least one person was injured during the fire. An elderly woman jumped from a third-story window, according to reports from the scene. She received burns to her extremities and was transported to Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland, Pennsylvania.

Reports of additional patients have not been confirmed.
