Police Say 16-Year-Old Boy Shot Thursday Morning

Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at approximately 11:20 a.m. in the 2400 block of Jefferson Street.

Police located a 16-year-old male gunshot victim who was transported to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.

This incident remains under investigation and further details will be released when possible.

Breaking Report

Wilmington –  Wilmington Police have responded to the 2400 block of North Jefferson Street for reports of a shooting.

First arriving officers have secured the scene. Rescue crews are now responding to the scene.  Trooper 4 has been alerted and is en route.

Update: The helicopter has been recalled. The patient is being rushed to an area children’s hospital with at least two gunshot wounds.
