Troopers Investigating Rehoboth Beach Bank Robbery

Rehoboth Beach- Delaware State Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Tuesday afternoon, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Heather Pepper.

Pepper said on January 19, 2021, at approximately 3:17 p.m., Delaware State Police responded to the PNC Bank located at 19745 Sea Air Ave, Rehoboth Beach, for a report of an armed robbery. The investigation determined the male suspect entered the bank, displayed an unknown type of gun, and ordered everyone inside the bank into a back room, said Pepper. He then obtained an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the bank on foot in an unknown direction of travel.

The suspect was described as a male, approximately 5′ 6″- 6′ tall, and a large build. He was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and light-colored pants. He was wearing a face covering, sunglasses, and gloves.
