Woman Hospitalized After Being Struck By Sedan Early Wednesday

At approximately 6:35 a.m. the New Castle County Paramedics (NCCEMS) and Christiana Fire Company were dispatched to Wilton Boulevard in the area of Old Forge Road in New Castle for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle, according to NCCEMS Senior Sergeant Abigail Haas.

Haas said units arrived on scene to find a mid-sized sedan that had struck a pedestrian who was in the roadway. The 55-year-old female patient suffered head and extremity injuries and was transported to Christiana Hospital by paramedics onboard a Christiana Fire Company ambulance in stable condition. New Castle County Police is investigating.
