After 4 Months On The Run Delaware Inmate Captured In Philadelphia

In a recent development, the Delaware Department of Correction announced that Tramane Wright, an offender who absconded from the Plummer Community Corrections Center (PCCC) in Wilmington, has been apprehended. Wright’s escape occurred on March 19, 2023, officials said Thursday

Tramane Wright, 24, was serving time at the PCCC for a Violation of Probation (VOP) due to the offense of Criminal Mischief under $5000. Officials said Wright was able to escape by scaling the perimeter fence of the facility back in March.

The Delaware Department of Correction and local law enforcement agencies initiated a comprehensive search operation to locate and apprehend Wright, however, the search lasted several months.

On July 10, 2023, Wright was taken into custody by the Philadelphia Police Department in Pennsylvania. and is now awaiting extradition to Delaware, where he will face additional charges for his escape.
