Emergency personnel were called to a scene of a traumatic injury on Lord Calvert Drive in the Captain’s Grant area of Sussex, Oak Orchard, at 1:37 PM.
Initial reports from the scene indicate a male fell off of a 16-foot ladder onto an elderly man.
The response included units from Indian River Fire Company, Sussex County Paramedics, Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, and Delaware State Police Aviation, which dispatched Trooper 2 for support.
Command requested a second helicopter after the initial dispatch. LifeNet2 and Trooper 2 have both lifted off from a nearby landing zone with patients on board. Both patients are currently en route to Christiana Hospital.
