Pedestrian Rushed To Trauma Center After Being Struck Tuesday Night

Just after 10:30 Tuesday evening rescue crews responded to a serious traffic collision involving a pedestrian on Limestone Road just south of Papermill Road in Wilmington.

The incident involved a male in his 30s, who may have been riding a skateboard when he was struck by a vehicle. The collision resulted in significant damage to the vehicle’s windshield.

Emergency response units from the Mill Creek Fire Company, New Castle County Paramedics, and Delaware State Police were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, responders found the pedestrian with serious injuries. The patient was treated at the scene and then transported to a trauma center for medical care.

The Delaware State Police is investigating the crash.
